Mayor's Proposed Budget Report to City Budget Committee

The Mayor will deliver the FY 2026-27 Budget Message and Proposed Budget to City Council, acting as the City of Portland Budget Committee, on April 21, 2026. A public hearing will be held following the presentation of the Proposed Budget to receive testimony. This item will be replaced with the Proposed Budget document on April 20, 2026. The City of Portland conducts its budget process in accordance with ORS 294 (Oregon Local Budget Law) to formally propose, approve, and adopt the annual budget. Pursuant to the provisions of ORS 294.915 notice has been given for a public meeting of the Budget Committee of the City of Portland, Multnomah County, State of Oregon to receive the Mayor's Message on the Mayor's Proposed Budget for the fiscal year July 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027 for the City of Portland. The Budget Committee will hold the meeting on April 21, 2026 from 9:30am- 1:30pmThe FY 2026-27 Mayor's Proposed Budget document will be available for inspection by the general public online at the City Budget Office's website on April 20, 2026 no later than 5:00pm.Hard copies will be available upon request with the City Budget Office and limited print copies may be inspected beginning April 24, 2026 in the Portland Building, 1120 SW 5th Avenue, Portland, Oregon 97201 between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm.The City of Portland has requested and received an exception from the TSCC May 15, 2026, filing requirement to align with the City's budget approval schedule. The approved budget will be submitted to the TSCC on May 21, 2026, following the City's budget approval. The City Council is scheduled to adopt the FY 2026-27 budget following a public hearing and certification by the TSCC on June 17, 2026.
