You know, it gave me a lot of comfort and confidence that our team had vetted all of the amendments from the other day, and I really appreciate the work that you've done to incorporate those that made sense. And I'm wondering, did I miss you commenting on this particular one when I left the room, or have you I just— it gives me a lot of confidence that these things have been vetted by our team and they make sense. “Okay. All right. I just was curious to see if you knew any more about that. I also want to say something briefly about the ROI and our calculation of ROI. I really feel like There are intangible benefits to having them here that we cannot measure. There's no scientific approach. I mean, maybe polling is about as close as you get. And, you know, I admit I don't go to Blazer games, but I can feel how important this is to our whole community that we do this right. There is an emotional, if not a spiritual support for having the Blazers here. You can feel it, you can palpate it. Um, colleagues, uh, we've been really eager to dig into the whole issue of automated vehicles, and we're going to get an update today on PBOT's rulemaking efforts. And the public input that they've received throughout this process. Additionally, PBOT staff are going to be reviewing the regulatory pathways that we could pursue to ensure that automated vehicles operate safely and contribute their fair share towards our infrastructure. This is a good opportunity for us colleagues to learn about approaches that other jurisdictions have taken to regulate autonomous vehicles and what we can also learn from them. We're just talking about for implementation the challenges or lack of challenge with implementation if we chose one path over another. We're not suggesting that we wouldn't do the most involved resource— research-driven solution, but our team does need a little bit more time to continue to do the work. Thank you. Councilor Smith. Work to get to both the answers that you're wanting in terms of looking at a full panel of options and weighing that against the ability for us to do that implementation in a way that supports both the goals of this initiative as well as supports community that's being served by it.”

Just really briefly, I, I appreciate the intent of the 2 amendment co-sponsors, but I thought that we had— the underlying ordinance was really an elegant, simple solution to just moving the inventory, and I don't have a problem with that, and especially given what my colleague Councilor Green has said. Uh, I think that some of us may be coming in with those, um, possibly not immediately, but, um, given, uh, having been a participant in the ex officio committee and working closely with, um, the Downtown Neighborhood Association, I think you can expect some of that. There's a lot of, um, detail that's not in that resolution. Just, I just skimmed it. I haven't looked at it in depth, but it needs, uh, it needs work. Um, you probably didn't expect to have this much conversation on this particular issue, um, but the dollar figure does really, um, bother me, uh, what we're going to be expected to do.
